FRS Counseling Driver Intervention Program's mission is to serve all residents of Highland and surrounding counties that have drinking and driving related problems. They will be educated about the dangers of drinking and driving, alcoholism, family dynamics of alcoholism, and defensive driving techniques.
The D.I.P. program is held monthly and has four primary objectives:
Educate each participant regarding drinking and driving
Educate each participant about alcoholism and family problems that ensue
Each participant will be treated with respect and dignity throughout the stay of the program
Each participant will receive an individualized screening of their drinking behaviors
FRS Counseling provides a wide array of services structured within the D.I.P. Program to meet the needs of the individual
72 Hour - Residential Program: this program satisfies the requirements for the mandated minimum of 72 hours of jail for the DWI-OMVI offender
36 Hour - Non-Residential Program: this is not a live in program which means the clients are free to go home each evening
